Background Edit

Snow White and the Huntsman Edit

Nion and the rest of the dwarves first meet Snow White and Eric after capturing them in a net. Upon learning that Snow White is the daughter of the late king Magnus, they release her and agree to help her, leading her to the Sanctuary. Nion later helps Snow White and her army storm the castle, by infiltrating the stronghold through the sewers. Nion complains about the smell and the state the dwarf race has reached, but assists his friends in opening the castle gate so that Snow White's army can enter.

The Huntsman: Winter's War Edit

At Snow White's request, Nion and his half-brother Gryff accompany Eric to find the Magic Mirror and bring it to the Sanctuary. During their journey, they meet two female dwarves, Bromwyn and Doreena, with Nion falling in love with latter. When confronted by Freya the Ice Queen and her Huntsmen, Freya uses her powers to freeze Doreena when she tries to attack her. This prompts Nion to attack Freya, only to be frozen as well. After Freya's death, both Nion and Doreena are unfrozen and share a kiss while celebrating Eric's victory over Freya and Ravenna.

Name OriginEdit

Nion is an Irish word and the fifth letter of the Ogham alphabet.
